TECH!!!

We have our tech tonight, and we're furiously trying to tie up the many loose and frayed ends remaining. Most of our props are settled, and our two runthroughs last night were fantastic. Pictures coming soon!

The Dream House is Real!

It took Graham, Lina and I about two hours, but Jennifer Walshe's childhood "Sindy Dreamhouse" is an assembled reality!

The Set has Arrived!

Yep!

The set has arrived, and the music and parts along with it.

Called DHL customer service again, and managed to get a complaint registered over the phone. Very humane.

In the end, it turns out the problem was this:

the waybill said: 30 Macauley Ave
my address is: 30 Macaulay Ave

The postal code was correct (it could only be Macaulay) so they should have been able to deliver it. Of course, according to Google Maps, Macaulay Avenue doesn't exist, though Macauley Avenue does.

Go figure.

Patricia O'Callaghan in Luminato Poe Cabaret

Cast member Trish is photoed and ballyhooed for her work in Luminato's Poe Cabaret.

Casting almost complete!

We welcome actors Ginette Mohr and Kate Fenton to our company! Very excited to have these great talents on board.

DHL Sucks?

Well...the set (four storey dreamhouse) is being held up by the lovely folks at DHL, but at least it has reached the country, from its ancestral home in Ireland (home of Jenny Walshe). It's a bit of a funny situation - it has been in Toronto for four days now, and it's been sitting about a 20-minute bike ride from my house in a warehouse for the last 48 hours, but this wonderful "courier" can't seem to actually get it delivered...and they can't tell me why...

This after telling me it would be delivered three days ago.

When I called customer service and asked for an explanation, they said I had to email customer care. Which begs the question, calling customer service is for...

I know. It's accepted practice, but at least FEDEX and Purolator can find my house.

Hitting the ground running!

WHOOOOOOOO!!!! We are in the Summerworks Festival, and we our running August 6-16 at Theatre Passe Muraille Mainspace. We're still in the process of fully casting and assembling our production team, as well as locating equipment, props and music.

Right off the bat, we'd like to thank the TAC, OAC and Roger Moore for helping us get this production off the ground.
